We held "Travel Interpreter Training Seminar" in the main conference room of Miyako City Hall, from Aug. 18, 2018. We invited Mr. Patrick Mahar, college lecturer at Morioka Junior College, as lecturer. In total 4 lectures were held.
This seminar was done in the pragmatic style, and the participants tried to brush up their skills through various practices: describing pictures in English and interpreting instantly what the lecturer said.
About 20 people joined the seminar every week. It was a very productive and pleasant seminar: the participants actively participated in the seminar, asking many questions to the lecturer.
