Interpreting / Translation


In order to prepare for natural disasters and events in which a lot of international tourists are involved such as port calls of cruise ships, and also to meet the demands for multilingualization in the city, we would like to invite the people with knowledge of foreign languages to register our database.

How to register Fill in the registration form, and send it to Miyako International Association via e-mail, fax or post. If you have some language skills certificates, please attach copies or photos of them.

Interpreting/translation fees Fees should be determined by each interpreter/translator
When we receive an inquiry from prospective client We will check the contents, choose an appropriate interpreter/translator, and inform the client of contact details (phone number and e-mail address) of interpreter/translator.
After that, the details, fees, etc., should be discussed between them.
※Miyako International Association will provide only the information of interpreter/translator and will not intervene in the negotiation.

Interpreter / translator referral system

Companies, corporations, organizations and individuals can use this system.

As of March 1, 2020, we can offer services for 9 languages as follows:

If you need an interpreter/translator, please contact Miyako International Association. Upon checking the contents and getting consensus from an appropriate interpreter/translator, we will give you the contact details of interpreter/translator.

No referral fee will be incurred.

Interpretation/translation fee will be entrusted to each interpreter/translator, so please discuss the details of the job (fees, deadline, etc.) directly with him/her.

When you contact us, please provide us with the following information:

If you need an interpreter:
  1. Language combination (ex. Japanese – Chinese)
  2. Date, time and length of time
  3. Place
  4. Rough description of the job (ex. “We need an interpreter when our client visits us from China”)
If you need a translator:
  1. Language combination (ex. from Japanese to English)
  2. Quantity of document to be translated (ex. Restaurant menu, about 800 characters in the original document in Japanese (including punctuation marks))
  3. Deadline (ex. By next Wednesday)
