If you want to learn Japanese, you can join Japanese language class “Sakura” and “Nihongo Hiroba”.
※ These are Miyako City-commissioned projects for the promotion of multicultural coexistence.
Japanese language class “Sakura”
- The lessons are held about 4 times every month.
- They are held on Monday (from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.) or on Saturday (from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.).
- Participation is free of charge.
- Participants learn what they want to learn.
- You can bring your own textbooks if you like.
- You can also use textbooks equipped in the classroom.
- You can enjoy chatting with other participants, so please feel free to join us.
- We sometimes sing Japanese songs and play Japanese language games.
- Schedule from April 2021 to March 2022
Nihongo Hiroba
- The events are held about 5 times a year.
- We learn Japanese language, about life in Japan, and Japanese culture through workshops.
- Participation is free of charge.
- Schedule from April 2020 to March 2021

“Disaster prevention”: November 1 (Sun)
“Photo contest”: June 27 (Sat), December 7 (Mon), December 26 (Sat)
“Calligraphy workshop”: January 10 (Sun)
“Speech contest”: March 7 (Sun)
