“Training Seminar to Improve Hospitality (“Omotenashi”) to Foreign People” (10 lectures in total) was held from Dec. 19, 2017 to Feb. 27, 2018.
In addition to language lessons of English and Chinese, a lecture to learn how to use multi lingual speech translation applications and a lecture of “Simple Japanese” to communicate with foreign people using simple Japanese were held.
In 2018, a foreign cruise ship will call at Miyako for the first time in 10 years. We hope that the public awareness of offering hospitality to foreign tourists will increase, making the most of what was offered in this seminar.
