We allocated staff interpreters during Rugby World Cup 2019

Rugby World Cup 2019 was held in Japan, and Kamaishi Unosumai Memorial Stadium became one of the match venues. In connection with this, we allocated staff interpreters at Miyako Station to help spectators from abroad to buy train tickets, to take a taxi, etc.

We dealt with the spectators from abroad for the matches Fiji vs Uruguay on Sep. 25 and Namibia vs Canada on Oct. 13.

A lot of spectators from abroad visited Miyako, and the area around Miyako Station was crowded with people. Unfortunately, the match on Oct. 13 was canceled due to the typhoon. The players and staffs of Namibia National Team offered us to hold a gathering with the citizens to encourage those who suffered damage from the typhoon. We received a letter of appreciation for our initiatives to welcome international tourists during the Rugby World Cup 2019 from the Rugby World Cup 2019 Kamaishi Executive Committee.
